When I was young it was the Raleigh Chopper or Grifter that everyone wanted to race around on. Apparently I missed out the whole USA BMX thing first time around. I was approached by an enthusiast to photograph his American Mongoose Supergoose BMX bike from around 1979. So I had a fun time going all around the bike getting the important aspects documented – like all the original stamped parts! No idea what this bike cost to restore but I am assured it was plenty 🙂 Mongoose still make bikes and are available from all good bike shops.
